May 3, 2013- 3rd-5th graders bring your bikes and helmets to learn bike safety and have fun riding your bike around our Bike Rodeo Course

May 8, 2013 - Prizes are given to each walking or biking elementary student at the four participating elementary schools.

No Phone Zone at Mesa Verde Elementary
February 2013 - The event began with a fun kick-off assembly where the dangers of distracted drivers were discussed and each student was sent home with a pledge for their parent to sign - pledging to not use their cell phone in any school zone. Each family that returned the pledge was given a decal to proudly display on their vehicle stating "Children before Phones." Signs with the same decal were then posted on College Boulevard. Students, school board members, city officials were present for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

2012 Past Events:
International Walk to School Day
October 8, 2012 - Prizes were given to each walking or biking elementary student at the four participating elementary schools.
City of Farmington Christmas Parade
November 30, 2012 - Over 30 Mesa Verde Elementary students and family members joined Farmington Walk and Roll. Bikes were decorated; posters carried, and prizes handed out to parade goers, as the group encouraged safely walking and rolling to school.
Farmington Walk and Roll Champion taught pedestrian safety to over 880 Farmington first graders in 40 presentations. It included an entertaining skit where student volunteers showed their classmates safe ways of crossing streets, and the proper way of behaving around roads and vehicles.
Community Event Booths:
Farmington Walk and Roll set up fun booths with a Ping-Pong game to win prizes, coloring and crafts at the Think PINK Carnival, the Turkey Trot and Gobble Wobble, and the Mesa Verde Elementary Health Fair.
It's the Fall Walk to School Day, Wednesday October 5, 2016. 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.
